Civil Engineer

MacLeod + Jordan Consulting Civil & Structural Engineers are a medium sized consultancy based in Aberdeen. We work on projects in the residential, commercial, industrial, and distillery/brewing industries, ranging from small extensions to multi-million pound developments.

Each of the directors are hands on and fully aware of each project and client. This means they can offer more relevant support and guidance.

Despite their workload, they make sure the team are kept close knit and have regular social events leading to an openness in the office and very little staff turnover. This is a result of the development opportunities offered.

As a result of the increase in workload over many months, they have decided to add a Civil Engineer to the team.

Requirements:

• BEng or MEng in Civil and/or Structural Engineering.

• Experience working on civil infrastructure projects, including drainage, site levels, earthworks volumes, road alignments and pavement make-ups.

• Familiar with the SUDS Manual, British Standards/Eurocodes relating to civil engineering, and standards for highway works,

• Ability to produce detailed civil engineering calculations.

• Knowledge of Autodesk Civil 3D, AutoCAD and Micro-drainage or equivalent software products.

• Chartered status is not essential but would be beneficial. Full support and training will be given to progress to apply for chartered member status of the Institution of Civil Engineers if required.Benefits:
