This project delivered a sophisticated 6400m² (69,000ft²) high bay storage and distribution warehouse for Premier Housewares in Scotstoun, Glasgow. The facility features high tolerance Category 1 floor finishes specifically designed to accommodate narrow aisle racking storage systems, maximizing storage efficiency and operational performance.

The structural design incorporated high bay construction to maximize vertical storage capacity while maintaining structural stability. The Category 1 floor finish was engineered to extremely tight tolerances to ensure proper operation of narrow aisle racking systems and automated handling equipment. The building envelope was designed for optimal environmental control and energy efficiency.

The primary engineering challenge was achieving the high tolerance Category 1 floor finish required for narrow aisle racking operations. This demanded precise construction techniques and quality control throughout the concrete placement process. The high bay design required careful structural analysis to ensure stability under varying loading conditions while maintaining column spacing suitable for efficient storage layout.

The completed warehouse provides Premier Housewares with a highly efficient distribution facility that maximizes storage capacity through narrow aisle racking systems.
