Residential extension to an existing bungalow in Aberdeenshire featuring a new dining room, utility, and wet room. The design incorporates an asymmetric ridgeline and vaulted ceiling for enhanced spatial character.

The structural design includes concrete strip foundations, ground bearing insulated concrete slab, load bearing timber kit superstructure with intermediate steel beam for roof support. The building features harled masonry walls, horizontal timber cladding, and anthracite standing seam roof.

The project required careful integration with the existing bungalow structure while creating a contemporary extension that complements the original building. The asymmetric roof design demanded precise structural calculations to ensure stability and weather resistance.

Successfully delivered a modern residential extension that enhances the functionality of the existing home while maintaining harmony with the surrounding Aberdeenshire landscape. The project was completed with contractor JHJ Group providing high-quality construction standards.
