Senior Structural Engineer

£40,000–£50,000 per annum, depending on experience
MacLeod+Jordan is looking for an experienced Senior Structural Engineer to join our growing consultancy team. You will be involved throughout the project lifecycle, from early feasibility and concept development through detailed design and construction support.
Apply Now- Lead structural design and delivery in steel, reinforced concrete, timber and masonry.
- Undertake structural analysis and prepare calculations, specifications, drawings and technical reports.
- Manage projects from initial enquiry and feasibility through detailed design and construction.
- Liaise directly with clients, architects, contractors, fabricators and other members of the design team.
- Undertake structural inspections and site visits where required.
- Review and check engineering calculations and drawings.
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to graduate and junior engineers.
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- Relevant structural engineering experience within a consultancy environment.
- Strong technical ability across a range of structural materials and experience of UK design standards and Eurocodes.
- Good written and verbal communication skills, with confidence dealing directly with clients and construction professionals.
- Experience with structural analysis and design software such as Masterseries and/or Tekla Structural Designer.
- Ability to manage your own workload and take responsibility for project delivery.
- Chartered status with IStructE or ICE, or demonstrable progress towards chartership, is desirable.
