Wright Associates were appointed the civil and structural consultants when Balmenach Distillery in Speyside proposed installation of a new bio-mass boiler. The distillery which dates back to the 1824 had used oil to meet its energy requirements as the remote location was off the grid. Using a local supplier for wood pellets and sustainably managed forestry, the Inver House Distiller Group anticipates greenhouse emissions will be cut by 5000 tons per annum
